The Chakra System is an ancient metaphysical system that diagrams the interrelationship between various aspects of our multidimensional universe, we too are multidimensional universe. As part of this universe, we too are multidimensional. We have bodies, emotions, thoughts, ideas, actions. We are as complex as the world around us.
There are seven major chakras within each of us, arranged vertically from the base of the spine to the top of the head, centered, more or less, through the middle of our body. In addition to the nerve ganglia, they also correspond to glands in the endocrine system and various bodily processes, such as breathing, digesting or procreating.
Numerous other correspondences have been attributed to the chakras, such as colors, sounds, deities, gemstones, herbs or planetary influences. Examining each of these brings us closer to the understanding of the essential nature of a particular chakra. Using gemstones, colors or herbs helps strengthen the association with the state wer are seeking.
If we take the literal meaning of the word chakra (disk) and give it a modern interpreatation, we can think of a chakra as a physic floppy disk. that contains programming about how to handle various aspects of our life. These floppy disks plug into the hardware of our physical bodies, and are interpreted by the operating system of our basic cosciousness.
